चलिए अब जानते हैं कि WordPress theme को customize या design कैसे करें। Theme customization के लिए आपके WordPress admin panel में Appearance नाम का एक option होता है, जहाँ से आप अपनी theme को आसानी से customize कर सकते हैं।
Note: सभी WordPress themes में customization options अलग-अलग होते हैं या कुछ में बहुत कम options होते हैं। यह पूरी तरह आपकी theme पर depend करता है।
Appearance section में आपको कई options मिलते हैं, जैसे:

Widgets
Additional CSS
Theme Editor
और कुछ extra options (जो theme के अनुसार होते हैं)
आप इन सभी options की settings बदलकर, widgets add या remove करके अपनी theme का design customize कर सकते हैं।

Site Identity (Site पहचान सेटिंग्स)
Site Title: यहाँ से आप अपने blog/website का title (नाम) set या change कर सकते हैं।
Logo: अपनी website के लिए logo बनाकर यहाँ upload कर सकते हैं और जब चाहें बदल भी सकते हैं।
Tagline: यहाँ आप अपनी site का short description (tagline) लिख सकते हैं, जिससे visitors को आपकी website के बारे में पता चलता है।
Site Icon (Favicon): यहाँ से आप अपनी website के लिए favicon upload या change कर सकते हैं, जो browser tab में दिखाई देता है।
Colors (रंग सेटिंग्स)
Colors का option सभी WordPress themes में available नहीं होता। यह पूरी तरह आपकी theme पर depend करता है। कुछ themes में आप आसानी से website के colors (जैसे background, text, links आदि) change कर सकते हैं, जबकि कुछ themes में यह option नहीं दिया होता।
Color Settings (रंग विकल्प)
Color Scheme: यहाँ से आप अपनी theme द्वारा दिए गए predefined color options को change कर सकते हैं।
Header Text Color: Header में जो text दिखता है, उसका color यहाँ से बदल सकते हैं।
Background Color: अपनी website के background का color यहाँ से change कर सकते हैं।
Menus (मेनू सेटिंग्स)
यह WordPress theme की एक default setting होती है। यहाँ से आप अपनी website के लिए menu बना सकते हैं और navigation में categories, tags, और pages के links add कर सकते हैं, जिससे visitors आसानी से आपकी website को navigate कर सकें।
सबसे पहले आप Menus option में जाकर Add New Menu पर क्लिक करें। फिर menu का नाम type करें और Create Menu पर क्लिक करें। इसके बाद आप जो भी pages, categories या custom links menu में add करना चाहते हैं, उन्हें आसानी से add कर सकते हैं।
Widgets (विजेट्स)
WordPress theme को customize या design करने के लिए Widgets बहुत useful होते हैं। यहाँ से आप अपनी website के sidebar और footer में widgets add कर सकते हैं।
यहाँ पर आप देख सकते हैं कि footer में widgets add करने के लिए 3 columns दिए होते हैं। Add Widget पर क्लिक करें, इसके बाद जो भी widgets available होंगे, वे side में show होने लगेंगे। आप चाहें तो widget search करके भी add कर सकते हैं। अगर आप कोई custom code add करना चाहते हैं, तो इसके लिए आपको Text Widget select करना होगा।
Edit CSS (CSS एडिट करना)
CSS style की मदद से आप अपनी theme में कई नए features add कर सकते हैं और किसी भी widget को एक अच्छा और professional look दे सकते हैं। WordPress में CSS add करने के लिए कई plugins available हैं। आप Jetpack plugin की मदद से भी आसानी से CSS add कर सकते हैं। Jetpack install और activate करने के बाद Customize section में Edit CSS का option दिखाई देने लगता है।
Editor (थीम एडिटर)
Editor section में आपकी theme की coding और core files होती हैं। अगर आपको coding की knowledge नहीं है, तो यहाँ कुछ भी change न करें, क्योंकि इससे आपकी website खराब हो सकती है।
